About Us

USA-Siegershow, Seattle, WA in 1998 - this is where my interest in showing Shepherds began.

I never would have thought I would get on a plane with my GSD and set out to fly clear across country, from NY to Washington, WITHOUT MY FAMILY. I had a want, greater than my fear of setting out on my own. I did have some friends to meet up with when I arrived, the breeder of my female, Heike Beebe (Lowenburg Kennels) and some of her dog handler friends from Germany (Stefan Heller and Gaby Schorr).
She helped me to reach out and explore the world of Sieger Shows, German Shepherds, meeting lots of people, German as well as American breeders.
I have her to thank for teaching me the ropes in the "show" world and many other things I couldnt have learned without her. I met one special friend who I still have contact with at least a few times a week. Her name is Claudia Orum of Orumhaus Kennels, Texas.

Since then I have added more dogs to my kennel, shown them at 3 more Sieger-Shows and some local shows and started training for Schutzhund as well. Im not a big kennel, and I'm not mass breeding, I just own a few good germanlined German Shepherds that I hope will produce a few select litters a year. Its more important to me to show and train my dogs to have a bond with them than to breed and sell puppies, I enjoy my dogs as pets as well as showing and working them to their best ability. I hope you enjoy my web site.

A little about ME:

I live in upstate NY in a  175-years-old farmhouse with 30 acres of land which my dogs enjoy a lot.
I reside with my husband and two children and, of course my German Shepherds. Oh yeah, we also have two cats. Believe it or not the dogs love the cats and rarely "taste" them.

I have a "regular" 9-5pm job Monday through Friday as a nurse in a doctor's office for The Center for the Disabled in Albany NY. I look forward to coming home to my family each day and consider us very lucky to have our health.

I do most of my Schutzhund (tracking , obedience, and protection) training on weekends. Additonally, short training sessions each day of an exercise that my dog is working on at that time (tracking, jumps, ring work, retrieves) depending a show or trail coming up. I've trained two of my dogs to a BH, currently working for a SchH1. It's more of a personal challenge, anyone can send their dogs out to have someone else train them, I just prefer to do it myself. I don't see anything wrong with sending them to get titles, I may eventually in the furure do that, but right now I like the challenge and process of sculping my dogs for my needs. It's great for bonding with your dogs. I encourage everyone to at least train your dogs in obedience. It's more learning for the owner than for the dog. I believe you'll find the experience rewarding. Plus, if you own a GSD you will learn that they love to work for you, they need to be needed and long to be worked. Ready at a moments notice to work with you. (Don't you wish people could be like that!)
The best we have done in show was in Nashville, TN, at the 2004 USA-Sieger-Show. Envy von Clarksburg, a homebred girl, placed VP3 in very good competition.
